I never thought I would go snowshoeing in Washington, DC. Over the weekend, we had 8″ to 10″ of snow. Unlike Maine, that is enough to shut down the city. I went snowshoeing in Soapstone Valley today to get some fresh air. The best word to describe snowshoeing is rambunctious. Snowshoes allow you to go through areas of the woods and forest you normally would or could not go in other seasons. It is a wild ride. Click on the image for a larger view.
