693,000 Flags

White flags placed on the National Mall in Washington, DC, to remember those that lost their lives to COVID-19. People were encouraged to place their own flag in remembrance of someone they lost. Each day, more flags are added to match the number of deaths. By the time this display is removed on October 4th, the total number of flags could exceed 700,000.

Kansas City has a stay-in-place order for the Covid-19 response to increase social distancing. Hikari, our Newfoundland, certainly has been happier with both her parents around. We hope our readers are safe and not impacted too much by this pandemic. Click on the image for a larger view.
